unlike the single-whorled Allamanda cathartica.
The increased complexity of form, colour and texture enhances its appeal as
a subject for watercolour painting.
The basic sulphur yellow is differentiated by impinging light into
resonant tones of bronze and gold, with accents of orange in the
rose-like centre.
