Architectural Ink-Drawings
of Victorian houses
A beautifully-preserved Victorian along the famous Postcard Row of
houses, also known as the Six Sisters, or the Painted Ladies. The
houses were built between 1892 and 1896, by developer Matthew
Kavanaugh.
Subtle details and ornate patterns in the wooden facades differ
across houses, but their overall architectural uniformity make them
outstandingly eye-catching. The entire district is sprinkled
liberally with such dream-houses. Steiner St forms one of the
borders of Alamo Square park, situated in the Western Addition of the
city.
